Listed is a pre owned FN 49 made for the Egyptian military chambered in 7.92x57mm (8mm Mauser). This rifle is in very good shape overall. The wooden stock appears to have been replaced at some point but is in great condition. The steel still shows some light cosmoline buildup from import, with Egyptian characters on the right hand side of the receiver underneath the rear sight and just above FN’s manufacture stampings. The crest and proof marks are all in great shape and show no signs of alteration. The bore of the 23″ barrel is bright with good rifling, though some spots of buildup are present. This rifle does not come with a box or any papers.
