Listed is a pre owned Lee Enfield SMLE III chambered in 303 British. This rifle has been sporterized to add a rail and scope, and the rear sight has been removed along with most of the wood forward of the action. This rifle is in fair condition overall, with definite signs of use and wear. What is left of the stock appears to be original, and has several scratches, nicks, dings, and small chips consistent with issued use. The top of the stock behind the housing for the rear sight shows cracks and repairs from the armory. The steel shows scattered scratches, scuffs, and some spots of freckling. Some portions have faded to a plum brown color. The Leupold 1-4 Vari-X II scope is in fair condition with scratches and scuffs to the housing and some yellowing in the glass. It is definitely still useable but a replacement could be recommended. The bore of the 25″ barrel is frosted throughout but still has visible rifling. This rifle does not come with a box or any papers.
